Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Auction Bio: the website at auctionbio.com and the service on it. Auction Bio is run by Makana Global LLC, 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Auction Bio you agree to these terms. If you use it for a company, you agree to them on the company’s behalf and confirm you’re allowed to.

1. What Auction Bio is

Auction Bio gathers public listings from other auction platforms and shows them in one search, with watchlists, alerts, favorites, a buy list and shared workspaces.

We are not an auctioneer or a seller, and we take no part in any auction. Bidding, payment, inspection and shipping happen on the auction platform, under its terms, between you and the seller.

Listing details (descriptions, photos, prices, bids, closing times) come from those platforms. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Always check the original listing before you bid.

2. Your account and workspace

• You need an account for watchlists, alerts, favorites, the buy list and workspaces. You sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email, so keep access to that email secure.
• You must be at least 18 and use Auction Bio for your work or business.
• A workspace belongs to the person who created it, its owner. The owner and admins can invite and remove members and manage billing. Everyone in a workspace sees its watchlists, favorites and buy list.
• You are responsible for what happens in your account and your workspace.

3. Plans and payment

• Auction Bio has a Free plan and paid plans, each with limits on watchlists, keywords per watchlist and seats, as shown on our pricing page.
• Paid plans are billed per workspace, monthly in advance, in US dollars, through our payment provider, Stripe. A paid plan renews every month until it is cancelled.
• Upgrading takes effect straight away, and you pay the difference for the rest of the current month. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for.
• If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the following days. If it still fails, the plan is cancelled and the workspace moves to Free.
• If we change the price of a plan, we will email the workspace’s owner at least 30 days before the new price applies to them.

4. Cancelling and refunds

• A workspace owner or admin can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing. The plan stays on until the end of the month you have paid for, then the workspace moves to Free.
• Payments are not refundable, including for part of a month, except where the law requires a refund.

5. Plan limits

A limit stops a workspace from adding more. It never deletes or changes what is already there. When a workspace moves to a smaller plan, the watchlists beyond the new limit are paused: kept as they are, but sending no alerts, until you delete some, choose which ones stay on, or upgrade again.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, scrape or bulk-download Auction Bio’s listings or data, or resell or republish them;
• use Auction Bio to build a competing product;
• try to get into other people’s accounts or workspaces, or get around plan limits;
• overload, probe or interfere with the service, or reverse-engineer it;
• use Auction Bio for anything unlawful, or to send people invitations they did not ask for.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first.

7. Your data

What you put into Auction Bio (watchlists, notes, buy lists, workspace details) stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run Auction Bio for you, and we do not sell it. We may use anonymous, combined figures about how Auction Bio is used, such as how many searches are run, to improve it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

8. Our service

Auction Bio’s software and design, and the way it organises listings, belong to us. The listings themselves belong to the auction platforms and sellers.

We may change, add or remove features. We work to keep Auction Bio running and alerts on time, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, or that every alert arrives.

9. No warranty

Auction Bio is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises about the accuracy or completeness of listings, prices or closing times, or that Auction Bio suits a particular purpose. What you bid on, and how much, is your decision.

10. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows:

• we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or missed auctions or bids;
• our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of US$100 and what your workspace paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Ending

You can stop using Auction Bio at any time. To have a workspace or your account deleted, write to hello@auctionbio.com. A workspace on a paid plan has to be cancelled first.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date. For changes that matter, we will email workspace owners at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Auction Bio after that, the new terms apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Wyoming.
